From the vibrancy of Little Rock to the quietude of more rural regions, there is a lot to love about the state of Arkansas. The state is home to friendly people, fun times, and a relatively low cost of living, but that does not mean a little extra money will not come in handy once in a while
If you would like to fatten your wallet and grab some extra cash, you might not need a winning lottery ticket to do it. Like many states, Arkansas is holding lost treasure and waiting for the rightful owner or heir to come along and claim it.
1.Begin your search for unclaimed property at the website maintained by the state of Arkansas. The URL for that site is auditor.ar.gov
2.Open the menu and click the Search for Unclaimed Property option. Enter your first and last name to conduct an individual search. If you are searching for your business, you can substitute the business name for the last name field.
3.You can narrow your search further by filling out the other fields, including the city name and ZIP code. The more precise your search the easier it will be to wade through the list of results.
4.Review the list of results and look for any property you think might be yours. If you spot any of your old stuff, you can complete a claim form right on the website.
5.Return to the website to track the status of your claim. You can see your claim in process, provide additional documentation and follow the process through.
6.Enjoy your found money.
There are many reasons why an Arkansas resident would lose track of their property, but no matter what the reason the state holds that property, waiting for the rightful owners to return and stake their claim. From old bank accounts and forgotten insurance proceeds to inheritances Arkansas residents did not even know they had, this property is held in trust, so why not search and see if you have some found money coming your way?
